Put Vehicle Maintenance at the Top of Your Back-To-School List

Your back-to-school list is already long, but there's an essential item you need to put at the top: vehicle maintenance and preparedness. You will be putting a lot of miles on that vehicle and it needs to be ready before the school year starts.

Maintenance is first. Do basic maintenance to avoid preventable problems. That means changing the oils, rotating the tires, replacing worn wiper blades, checking tire pressure and tread, and topping off fluids. Also, check your owner's manual to see the vehicle's recommended maintenance schedule. If anything is due, get the vehicle into the service department to have those items dealt with.

Preparedness is next. Put together an emergency kit for the vehicle. Jumper cables, gloves, a flashlight, road flares, and spare fluids are some essentials to include. Make sure the spare is fully inflated and in good condition. If you need maintenance done, schedule an appointment here at State College Used Cars.
